An Open Letter To Allie Brosh

To: Allie Brosh, of Hyperbole And A Half

Subject: Of Great Import And Such

Dear Person Who Reads This Letter And Others Who Might Be Looking Over The Reader’s Shoulder Even If That Is Rude And You Know You Shouldn’t Be Doing It,

I am a writer and a programmer. In fact I am such a writer and programmer that I am writing a book about programming. This book is called Learn You An Ruby For Awesome Power. It is quite the most excellent book, my mother says. In this book I have words. These words teach people to program in the Ruby language. However as you know Miss Brosh, big walls of text are pretty annoying and boring to read. The future is in images inside of walls of text, as god intended!

And so I come to the crux of my email: Your art style would be perfect for my book. Obviously a celebrity such as yourself is in high demand so I am not so delusional (but delusional enough!) to think that I might get you as an artist for my book. Instead I correspond with you in order to gain information on other artists that would be so willing. Artists that you have found to produce similar works to your Hyperbole And A Half gallery of wonder and imagination.

If you should feel so inclined to read my works, you can find the source here and the first page here.

I will of course, require the return of my carrier pterodactyl, as they are expensive messenger dinosaurs.
