What is World of Darkness? The World Of Darkness is a setting based on modern real life Earth, except a lot more shitty. Terrible events in history ended either worse or happened on a much larger scale. The tone for the setting is the dark and dystopia clawing for survival in the pitch black. Creatures that should not exist except in folklore or bed time stories do exist.
What are Vampires? Vampires are men and woman who have died and been bathed in the blood of another Vampire. These predators of the night survive on blood, desire power, and lust for the return to life. Beyond anything they fear the Final Death from which none can return.
What kind of power do Vampires seek? Control over other themselves, other Vampires, and most of all control over their food source: Mortal man.
How do they survive? They are compelled and addicted to the life blood of mortal man and woman. They must drink of the blood at regular intervals or slowly turn to ash.
Are there different kinds of Vampires? While all Vampires come from the same origin, each one has a Bloodline they originate from. When they are born in the blood of their Sire, their maker, they gain all the traits of their Sire’s Bloodline. Vampires also tend to find themselves in Broods, and can be identified thusly.
What is a Vampire Brood? Vampire Broods are groups of Vampires with similar goals and beliefs who help each other gain clout over other associations.
What type of Vampire Broods are there? Six Major Broods, Four Minor Broods, and an unknown number of Covenants, Cults, and Clubs. There are also Broods that are specific to various nations and regions, such as the Sixty Six Highway Bloodletters in America. While they don’t have significant politcal power they make up for it in numbers.
What types of Vampire Bloodlines are there? The Primum, the Petrarites, and the Thin Bloods.
