[Notes] Vitae Nocturnus: Primum
Primum
“Where is he? Where is your Brother, Cain?”
- The LORD
The Primum (Latin for “First”) are the Vampire Clans who can trace their linage straight back to the very first marked by Cain’s curse. The Vampires who find themselves a part of the First Children Of Cain are by no means the best or most powerful. In many cases Primum are looked down upon in the same way a Human would look down upon a (caged) 500 pound Gorilla. These Clans embody the down right primeval ferocity and horror inflicted by god onto Cain for his trespasses. They are vessels of unique and serious damage and insanity, but play an important role in the Vampire world. No Immortalli Primum exist in the modern age due to the extremely violent and deranged nature they possess.
At the dawn of Vampires there was Cain, but Cain was not happy to be alone and he loathed himself. His feedings were uncontrolled and violent with his hate for the Lord and his mark. Staining (turning people into Vampires) was usually a mistake or accident. The Stained Spawn would consume whole villages and families in their undead frenzy. Cain would eventually consume his mistakes with the exception of four. Three of these ended up Staining their own children and passing on their dangerous traits.
Through the different eras these three Clans have made sure to stay alive. They flourished the most during the darker ages of medieval man where the law was made by those with the might to do so. The Eastern hemisphere has never held much for the more savage Vampire clans with the exception of China. In Modern times the Primum reign in as survivors rather than blood thirty warlords. They make up the Society’s bodyguards, assassins, anarchists, or oracles. Lately Africa and the Caribbean have been a utopia for the Primum. Little too no law and no lack of bodies or death making the third world countries a perfect hiding place.
